I've noticed that Geoff Perlman, in his missives to the masses, uses html
more often than not. I have also noticed that I have NOT noticed anybody
publicly spanking HIM for doing it. I wonder why that is.
So, maybe this is not a real issue at all, but rather a matter of PCP:

I personally don't have a problem with html emails so long as they don't
hurt my eyes by being too small or colorfully garish.
