Just out of curiosity, what happens if you take out all the 
FileStream.Close calls. You shouldn't need them anyway as the streams 
will be closed when the stream is deleted (which it will be when you 
set FileStream equal to a new stream).
It shouldn't crash, of course, but it might be worth a try.
