Yes, In the system preferences, Keyboard & Mouse, Keyboard Access, the
highlight
has to be set to "Text boxes and list only". With this setting the edit
fields work as expected. Why it doesn't with the setting "All Controls": ???

It is the same in Jaguar 10.2.8
