Peter,

I looked at the citation you gave me and while I don't understand all of it I don't think that is the problem. I kept working on the window and finally got it to work properly but I had to do things in this order:

1. Create a new window

2. Change the name

3. Drag a tab panel from the controls window to the new window. (Note: This is very important; I could not copy the tab panel from the other window. If I did it would show up in the IDE but not in the app itself when run either through the compiler or as a build application.)

4. Set up the tabs.

5. Copy the controls from the first tab in the first window and paste those controls to the first tab in the second window. Do this for all the tabs. (I only had three).

While this will work, I don't understand what makes a tab panel different than other controls when it comes to copying and pasting a tab panel. The way I finally did it described above is the reason I think there is some problem with the way in which tab panels work.

Anyway, thanks for your suggestion. I'll study that section some more to see if I can teach myself what Matt is saying.

Wayne

Are you sure it shows the right window, maybe there's a problem with the window global
