Peter,
I looked at the citation you gave me and while I don't understand all of
it I don't think that is the problem. I kept working on the window and
finally got it to work properly but I had to do things in this order:
1. Create a new window
2. Change the name
3. Drag a tab panel from the controls window to the new window. (Note:
This is very important; I could not copy the tab panel from the other
window. If I did it would show up in the IDE but not in the app itself
when run either through the compiler or as a build application.)
4. Set up the tabs.
5. Copy the controls from the first tab in the first window and paste
those controls to the first tab in the second window. Do this for all
the tabs. (I only had three).
While this will work, I don't understand what makes a tab panel
different than other controls when it comes to copying and pasting a tab
panel. The way I finally did it described above is the reason I think
there is some problem with the way in which tab panels work.
Anyway, thanks for your suggestion. I'll study that section some more to
see if I can teach myself what Matt is saying.
