1) Can you direct me to the docs/examples/sample code concerning C/C++ integration.
 
2) I need to develop a very fast application is Real Basic a fast API. How fast is it compared to C/C++?

Yes.  You can either make a shared library (or DLL) and connect to it
using the Declare statement in RB; or you can make a plug-in, which
effectively extends the RB framework to include your own custom
methods and classes.
