I'm getting a rather odd error and I was wondering if this was a known
bug or if it's just something that I'm doing wrong.
- Open up RB and start a fresh project.
- Choose Add Data Source -> New REAL Database...
- Save it to your desktop with any valid name you wish (the default
will do)
- Double-click on the database in the project window
- add a new table
- call it whatever you want and add one field, 'id' as integer... click
'Create'
- choose 'Options' and specify that it be a unique field or mandatory
(or both, it doesn't seem to matter)
- click OK to dismiss the options dialog and again to dismiss the New
Table window
I get this error....
SQL Error: comma or parenthesis expected [07000]
It looks to me that the New Table window assembles some SQL statement
and executes it on close but that there is an error in it when
assigning options to a column.
Can anyone confirm this? Is there a work around?
BTW, I just bought RB 5.5.2 Standard and I'm running it on a Mac with
the latest OS.
Thanks in advance,
Kristin
