Can you scroll StaticText

G'day,

I need to be able to scroll some text that the user can't edit. They 
are user instructions that will not fit on the window.
I have tried an EditField that is not enabled and then using a 
ScrollBar control, but the text goes gray and does not look right.
Can you scroll StaticText? I have tried but not succeeded.

Is there something else?

Also, can you make an EditField have a transparent background?

RB 5.5.2, Mac OS X 10.3.4
