I was having great fun with my application until developed on my 17"
iMac, until I tried it on a 12" iBook. Of course, the iBooks maximum
resolution was 1024x768 so it displayed my windows completely wrong.
Many windows in my application display nearly full screen images,
images that were insanely huge on a little 12" display
My question is, is there any feature built into Realbasic to handle
resolution changes? So elements like static texts and pictures
specifically are scaled up or down automatically according to the
resolution or size of the display?
No, there is no such thing on the Mac (I understand that Windows apps
typically do this, though). 1024x768 is a pretty good-sized screen;
in most cases I would suggest you design your app to work on an
800x600 screen, and then if somebody has more space than that,
they'll simply be able to see or do more stuff at once.
