One more (OT) point... My car has these things called windows (not
M$) that
can be broken by someone determined enough to get into my car and
steal the
stuff... But I still lock it before going into a store because that
will
keep out "all but the most determined thieves".

I did too, until I had to pay the $280. for the windshield replacement.
Now I keep the
car empty and leave it unlocked and keep a small pack of cookies in the
glove box.
As of today I've only lost 2 packs of cookies (total loss of $3.).
[In other words give other users the ability to use your software
(limiting their time, or
number of records created, or the like). If they like it, and it's
valuable to them, they
will buy it. My $.02]
