RENUBE,

Obviously being a newbie, I'm not sure exactly how to ask what I need to
know. Let me try again...

I'm working on a program that allows high school band directors to register
their kids for an area wide audition on their computer at their school. I
would like for them to input their student registration data in a listbox,
then click a button sending the data to me as a text file in an email
attachment. Most of these directors are unfamiliar with socket addresses,
ports, etc. Is there some way for me to get that information off their
computer so they don't have to know it. I don't what them to have to go to
the school computer specialist and say, "I need to know what my mail server
is or I can't register my kids for this audition."

BTW, the program to create a registration text file is finished and in use.
It works just great. I love RB! Unfortunately, the users get confused when I
say for them to attach the file to an email and send it to me. You'd be
surprised how may people have never done anything like this before this
before. One director said, "This is incredibly hard!" I'd like to automate
the process.

Am I making sense?

Barry
