Are there any RB user groups in those areas? (I'm rather new so this is not
rhetorical)

If so, it seems that the "group" could put together a 'mini-conference' and
invite an RB engineer or two to speak. I can't imagine anyone declining to
go to any of those great cities! One of my side 'gigs' is to provide
workshops (not programming) and it is much cheaper to send one (or two)
presenters than an entire group to a conference. In addition, the
participant size wouldn't be such an unknown (and therefore a risk).

Add to the list: Paris, Lyon, Marseilles, Nice, Béziers, Toulouse, London,
Brighton, Liverpool, Bruxelles, Namur, Kohln, Berlin, Beijin, Shangai,
Tokio, Hokkaido, Madrid, Barcelona, Athens, Alexandria, etc. and some other
USA cities.

Nota: I do not have time to list all USA cities that would welcome a local
mini-conference. I am sure that some cities can provide for free some
conference rooms (for a day or two) for free.

Yes, of course, naturally, if I was living next door, I would say: the
choosen Texas city is fine. Why are you willing other cities ?

Cheers,

Emile
