It's true that many printers have a built-in margin and that nothing you can do
in a program will override that margin -- because it is a physical limitation
of the printer. The printer simply cannot print any closer to the page than
that. Because of this, I think any print setup should always provide minimum
margins of 1/2 inch all the way around the page. Unless, of course, your app is
going to be used with a specific dedicated printer which you know will handle
margins less than that.

Not directly related, but in Matt Neuburg's book, he mentions that you can
create a printer setup then save it - which I didn't know - then the user can
just print without going through that dialog again. I suppose you could do a
print setup window where the user sets margins, AND sees a preview, then save
the
details.
I am still baffled by the printer setup by the way. It seems that printers
have an inherent margin, so when you say a margin of 36 (1/2 inch) it might
really be 3/4 of an inch.
