If REALSoftware release pre-release serial numbers to us directly, they
will be stabbing the distributers in the back...Which is very unfair to
the distributer, a distributer does more than just sell the products to
a reseller. Having a distributer means that manufactors don't need to
have support agents, sales teams, management that can speak every
language under the sun. Also distributers try to the product into to as
many places for the public to purchase it as possible. Think how big
REALSoftware would have to be before it could sell a single product in
Europe. A distributer makes it easier for REALSoftware to get their
products to other countries than just the US. You may not even know of
REALBasic if it wasn't for a local distributer doing advertising of some
sort. I.E reviews and ads in publications.
Please if I am wrong correct the above statement. I only know this
because I work for a European Apple reseller who happen to sell
REALSoftware products :-) and like most of the other European members
here I am waiting for my serial from the local distributer.

Just like REAL, the distributors take weekends and holidays. Which is
why it’s a good idea to wait until Monday.
