If I open 4.5 in OS X by double clicking on the app (so no
existing project is opened) then click on the desktop to
make finder active, when i click back on the RB window RB
quits!
I have seen the very same "feature" recently on my 10.1.5 PB.
So I did a fresh install (a good thing, 'cause it was still the
same system as when I began learning Unix :-).
But even on a fresh system 10.1.5 with all upgrades, 4.5 final
crashes every time when activated from the background.
I have removed all plugins, and it still happens even if I only
switch to BG and activate a plain new project. Weird.
Well, the solution is: it is the IDE Extras folder that screws up
the IDE. I have simply renamed it to _IDE Extras and all my problems
were gone.
I didn't try creating a new Empty folder etc. I just noticed that and
found the time to write a notice, so here we go... those who see
those frequent crashes... try removing the folder or some/all of it's
content.
