Of course. But it took me all of 5 minutes to do this, so I can update my
pages easily. I'm just trying to find a solution that I'm willing to use.
Hey, we're all working toward the same goal. I'm just interested in
maximizing my productivity. As much as I enjoy programming, I do have
interests and pursuits outside of parking my carcass behind a CRT; and
making mind numbing data entry as quick and painless as possible is a step
in the right direction. At least I'm trying to do something about it, eh?
Now for an additional thought... The other problem (which can be addressed
from the client side) is the inability to cache bug reports locally so that
they can be written offline. I'm unaware of a way to do this with just a
Web browser, but I think it would be trivial to create a simple RB app with
the corresponding fields which simply saved text files and then "merged"
that content with a template of the Web page. Of course, with a little more
work, you could use one of the HTTP socket classes and post the form
directly with the RB app.
REALbugs: The Next Generation? Oh yeah, I'm thinkin' maybe...
Perhaps even REALinsects would be adapted to this task since the source has
now been released. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to pursue it at the
moment. Perhaps some enterprising individual with some tinker time can get
things started.
Anyway, just a thought...
