I believe that this option has been there from the word go, I may be 
wrong. I too have found that it is temperamental... Sometimes it works, 
sometimes it doesn't.
I have both the Carbon and Classic version of the IDE my drive, when I 
need to debug in classic I boot up the classic IDE.
