I'm finding some problems with OSX 10.2.3 and 5.0 that were discussed in the NUG and/or Beta's lists a while ago. I'm finding that often the search for my question hits the No Items Found message.

This is a shot in the dark, but are you sure this is where they were discussed? I recently wanted to find a message on a topic that had been discussed a few days before, and couldn't find it in my own mailboxes anywhere, even though I keep 1 week of old posts to these lists in my Trash mailbox before permanently deleting them. So I turned to the archives, and couldn't find what I was looking for there. It took me half an hour of fruitless labor before I realized the message I was looking for had been posted to the Usenet newsgroup comp.lang.basic.realbasic! :-)

I don't belong to any other lists. My problems relate to re-opening a project and the wrong Beta being chosen; 5b1 vs. 5b2. I think I can solve this one (get rid of 5b1) but I was just wondering about whether or not there was a "Finder" like method to search the archives. IIRC, I think it's a cache type problem with OSX and I wanted to read RB's answers to confirm this.
