Joe, when I ordered a subscription renewal (an hour ago), there was no place
I could find an option to get the CD. The only available item was a 4.5 ->
5.0 upgrade for $139 that had the license, CD and manuals.
In short once you've gone to the "upgrade" as opposed to "buy new" route,
the option for cd's and docs aren't available on the purchase page. It's
only on the new purchase part of the site.
I guess I'll have to put in a 2nd order for that.
Now on second glance (having already ordered the annual subscription) if one
actually wants the docs as well, the subscription route actually costs the
same thing over the course of a year (179.95+ 2* 49.95) as two upgrade
packages WITH CD's except we get to hand you more money upfront. (179.95+
49.95 vs $139.95, in short $80 more up front).
I went the subscription route without thinking much about it since I assumed
there was some sort of minor discount you got by paying for the whole year.
If it's exactly the same price over the course of the year, I'd have rather
just gone the upgrade package route.
Also (FYI) I still haven't the email with my code in it, or an email
confirmation of the receipt so I can file my expense report.
