Yeah it is, I just had a little poke around in REALbasic's resource fork.
If you extract the 'PrjI' resources, and save them as '.rb' files you will
see each of them contains one of the internet classes introduced in RB 5.
The following classes are all written in REALbasic:

HTTPSocket
HTTPSecureSocket
SMTPSocket
SMTPSecureSocket
POP3Socket
POP3SecureSocket
EmailMessage
EmailHeaders

Unfortunately they are all encrypted classes.  I would have liked to be able
to add the proxy support myself, but they obviously don't want people doing
that.
