The way I understand it, there's 2 options:
1) It will produce a CGI that will run on the webserver. This means it
will act like any other CGI
2) It will produce a dedicated server. This will give the same effect
as a CGI, but with a dedicated server so it's faster. Of course, a CGI
is easier to use as most hosting places won't let you run arbitrary
applications but let you use CGIs, but if you have your own box and
don't mind having another process running the dedicated server will be
faster (mainly because it doesn't have to launch a new process (i.e.
the CGI) on each request)
