Hi,

I have tried to pinpoint this and I just found out that 5.5.1 has a little bug. Actually my code was working fine on 5.5.1 but not on 5.5.3. Just moving a line of code where it actually should be I have fixed the problem. Now I wonder why that code was running fine... it shouldn't at all. So actually the only problem is headers not scrolling horizontally as stated in Jonathan mail.

Yes, furthermore I have an app that doesn't display the horizontal
listbox scrollbar at all so there is no access to any other column than
the ones that are originally visible. Same code work fine with 5.5.1
(the version I am still using). Do you have a bug report reference I
could add myself?

The horizontal scrollbar isn't showing at all for you? What does your code look like? Can you file a bug report? If you have already, what is the
number?

Aside from the plug-in issue recently posted, I can't
think of anything too major that can't be worked around in 5.5.3

I can teh fact that list boxheaders don't scroll horizontally with FC5
breakes all code that depends on it... and faking the headers to look
right Xplatform is not trivial as well. as well as having to handle
the prssed and non-pressed states and drawing the sort widget.

Sure all is doable (in theory your own listbox is doable...) ... but
it's not quick to do it right... and it was OK in FC4 and broken in
FC5. It should be an easy fix for RS... but a lot of trouble for us to deal with if they don't - if you use horizintal listbox scrolling with
headers and sorting and column resizing...

Presumably not, as any changes would (I would think) require testing
cycle. So,
as stated in the fc5 release notes, 5.5.3fc5 would become 5.5.3
assuming no
show-stoppers.

Presumably a 5.5.4 could be released if absolutely necessary, but my
guess is
that both REAL Software, as well as the RB user community at large,
are anxious
to get 6.0 underway. Aside from the plug-in issue recently posted, I
can't
think of anything too major that can't be worked around in 5.5.3.

Is the final version of RB 5.5.3 any different than 5.5.3fc5?

Thanks in advance,
