I don't say than RS is completly OK.
I only report my status.
Since 4.5 i update my code also.
I think RS could make some effort (i understand progress is a hard job for
them, updating for progress is also a hard job for us).
Updating code to new release is also time consuming.
I hope you don't have to suffer anymore.
