Use pgSQL4RB - nice program but AU$500 to use a free database I think not.
Just playing advocate of the devil: RB pro at AU$ xxx to use a free DB is ok?

PS: There's a reason why we charge for pgSQL4RB. Our business model
is not based on it and we don't make it available for profit, but we
believe we should at least recoup the cost for our extra effort of
making it available at all and documenting it. A *LOT* of hours go
into that. Just take a look at the manual for instance.
The alternative would be we'd only develop it for our own use and not
make it available.
Furthermore if you're going to make money with it then what's wrong
with paying only AU$500 instead of keeping on mucking around with the
RB plugin? If you're not making money with it then there's the
license for in-house development at EUR 90 which we believe is *very*
reasonable and you get just the same product as for commercial
deployment.
Besides "for free" doesn't exist. If you get something for free then
this only means somebody else coughed up for it. So why not pay
yourself for the things you need yourself?
