I'm in the process of writing a "game" for my niece and nephew for their birthday. I normally program database applications in REALbasic. This is my first foray into the "Games" side of things.

I'm wondering how people out there go about acquiring/creating their sprites. Do you use Photoshop

Always Photoshop for pixel pushing :)

/Illustrator? Are there web resources you use? Any tips/starting places for a newbie?
