I just recently upgraded to 5.5 from 5.2 and I have been working on a game
in my spare time. A recent compile in 5.5 on OS X showed that the frame rate
has dropped to 10 fps from the desired 30 when built for Os x on 5.5. Anyone
else notice a major slow down in 5.5? I head that their were some drawing
changes in 5.5 I also tried 5.5.2b1 and it was also slow.
Granted the architecture of the game is somewhat more complex than just a
sprite surface but I do find such a performance decrease quite strange I
wonder if anyone else has run into this? Then sometimes I think I may be the
only one using sprite surface as opposed to 3d.
