Seth: i think he's talking about the backdrop property, that is a
picture so in turn it has a graphics property too, you just have to use
"New Picture" on it and it wont be nil (i think...)

Wherever you draw in canvases or the window or the SpriteSurface. Or
to say it more succinctly: whenever you draw. (Assuming you want to
use the old renderer because you value speed over CG features.)
Well, how do you tell the SpriteSurface to use the old renderer is
what I'm (poorly) getting at. The SpriteSurface does not have a
Graphics property. Are we supposed to then tell the window to use
QuickDraw and automagically it applies to the SpriteSurface?
