If you've ever played Wingnuts you'll know the effect I'm referring to - 2D game with 3D models.

LOVE that game. The Old Time Professor sounds just like a rather insane and nasty client I had to deal with. Very addicting. My whole family played it. It's also an example of what could be accomplished with REALbasic. It's not DONE in RB, but there's nothing that would stop one from producing a game like that. (except the artwork and music...)

I just realized what you wrote. I'm very sure that WN does not use mesh but sprites. They are rendered 3D, but not real-tim mesh, AFAIK. What makes you think they are using a 3D engine?

I haven't played it in a long time, but I'm almost certain they're real-time 3D meshes. Some things were obviously billboarded, but the aliasing on the edges of certain elements was a dead giveaway... I just tried to grab the demo to check it out again but every archive I downloaded was corrupt (?)

Frank.
