iDevGames' expected period of outage has been extended. iDevGames' editor, Carlos Camacho, had this to say:

The other day I took down the server to install a new quieter fan. Everything went fine, and the problem I have now is not related.

My server had two HDs, both IBM DeskStar "DeathStar".

A few hours after I came back online from my fan upgrade, one of the HDs decided to give me trouble.

iDevGames lives on the HD that didn't die. But the one that did, contained some important information and of course the server software.

I think that DiskWarrior can fix the problem with the disk so that I can grab some config files, mail, and other things. I ordered it a few days ago.

Once I have that, then I will buy a new Seagate drive and kiss the IBM DeskStars goodbye.
