I've updated OpenPlane with a more complete physics model -- the
plane now has proper lift, drag, thrust, and gravity, so you can
actually fly the thing and it behaves approximately as a real plane
would.
I've taken out the automatic rudder for now; use the Z and X keys to
manually control the rudder if you like. I found it pretty easy to
get the plane into a spin and end up in Davy Jones' locker (oops --
jumped genres there), so be gentle with the rudder. We'll need to do
some tweaking to make it easier to fly.
Oh, one other tip: it's best to start in flight, because there is no
land and your plane doesn't float. :) But even when you start in
flight, the engine is off (not sure why -- need to study that more
when I get a chance). So the first thing you should do is throttle
up (using the + key), otherwise you'll quickly end up wet.
I also added a Read Me document that gives an overview of how the
project works.
Additional modules or contributions of any sort are welcome.
