The concept of *unlimited* missiles (however fun) is far-fetched.
Not at all, you just synthesize them on the fly using a smart
polyalloy nanomaterial. You have a tank of this just like gas,
allowing practically unlimited rounds.
You know I was thinking of how to make an unlimited supply of missiles
before I wrote my first message but it was too creative of an idea to
mention. But since you started it...
A semi-intelligent deep-space organism which seeks and devours
space-ship fuel. Just a drop of fuel causes explosive growth, and is
highly explosive when in contact with heat... but like a moth to a
flame, it cannot resist it.
Under a controlled environment, this bio-weapon can be propelled toward
an enemy where it automatically targets the engines.
Suffice to say, there were quite a few ships destroyed when this
creature's native habitat was discovered by scientists a dozen years
ago. Since then, this material has spread through the black market,
and is easy to purchase for those with the cold hard cash.
