I agree, or rather, I think the player should be able to have it the way
they like it, and I personally wouldn't choose a "kill-button"
configuration. There are many ways to avoid this with the missile scenario:
limited range and following ability, relative damage per relative speed,
missiles that blow up near the plane instead of always hitting it (real ones
do this), etc, etc...
