No, though that's a good idea. Of course it's pretty specific to OS X developers, but the folks at RBD might still like it. I've used this technique a lot to find the bottlenecks in Renegades. (For those wondering, it's not the rendering, but the enemy AI which has lately been the major bottleneck.)
