as a few of you may know, i've been working a lot these past few months on machine vision... things are crazy here with a deadline next monday, but after that i should be able to have a long talk about stereo vision, etc. this should be a fairly easy jump from what i've been doing, and would be a fairly cheap experiment - i've been doing all my work with two $40 ibots off ebay.

if anyone is interested, and i dont ever return after next week, drop me a reminder on or off list a few weeks from now.

An idea i came up with in class to day was to solve the whole dar driving thing. If you take a video camera, and record driving around on the freeway, set up a simple 3d model of a car (or box, who cars) in front of the video and program the AI to recognize the lines and match the turning. There isn't any control over acceleration or braking, but even just figuring out the turning would be neat.
