Excellent demo...it nicely illustrates the problem I've been having with
various animation projects. And I see the same problem you described with
the "other" RB version -- not only much slower, but irregular as well -- not
good...
In fact, this is the main reason I haven't updated my "fun" stuff in quite a
while. I've only got a little time to spend on that, and I don't want to use
it all up researching and debugging the pros and cons of all the myriad ways
to drive frames in full-screen and non-full-screen mode on various platforms
-- especially when it could all change with the next RB update. But without
smooth animation, it just sucks. So I end up not doing anything. :|
