I see...it looks (from DL'ing the demo) like BlitzMax gives you a bunch of
cross-platform 2D libraries plus OpenGL access, whereas Blitz3D gives you a
bunch of Windows-only 3D stuff (using D3D) plus 3D libraries.
So BlitzMax is not really a replacement for Blitz3D (otherwise it wouldn't
be $20 less).
You are wrong here.
BlitzMax is the future of the Blitz platform.
It is replacing Blitz 3D.
Pricing most likely reflects that its is not at the point that Blitz3D is at
currently on Windows.
But I would still be interested in knowing what RB3D can do that Blitz3D
can't.
