 You are wrong here.

 BlitzMax is the future of the Blitz platform.
 It is replacing  Blitz 3D.

"will replace" and "is a replacement" aren't the same thing.

Has already.

It has shipped.
It works.
You can make full 3D games in it now.

No more work is being done on Blitz3D.

Im seeing number of very cool beta 3D games done by idevgames members.
Blitz even with its horrible IDE (IMO) seems to be giving people a
much faster leg up then RB does when it comes to games.

Im seeing games with glow maps and bump mapping being done by beginners.

Something odd about Blitz... not sure this is true...
But I was told that it translates basic to C++ and then uses GCC to compile it.
