Have you ever seen a linux game for sale at any major software

Just go to the Linux section in Fry's Electronics. I know for certain
that they had a boxed set of Quake on the shelf. I picked it up
because I was so curious, and sure enough the Linux system requirements
were there.
My take on this is that the market is small for Linux. But if it
doesn't require much more effort to release a REALbasic game in Linux,
why not do it? At the very least, you can post your announcement on
Linux lists and get traffic that you would otherwise not see.
