The Display Overlord plugin ...
Awesome as usual, Frank. I guess Windows is too dissimilar to
easily support with this?
It should work just fine within the Display Overlord API (probably
better than DrawSprocket) but mimicking the Mac "shielding" window
would have to be done manually (not a big deal) or the whole thing
would have to be done through DirectX, which probably wouldn't work
out very well since you may not be able to draw RB windows on the
captured display.
Aaron Ballman expressed some interest in doing a port a while back,
and after some discussion we decided that the user-mode/GDI APIs
should do just fine, but then I never heard back. He included
resolution switching in the Windows Functionality Suite recently, but
after a brief look it doesn't appear to support multiple screens,
gamma ramping, or a true "fullscreen" mode (I may have missed some
stuff though).
Basically Win32 support is entirely possible, and I have the
resources to port it myself, but I just don't have the need/time/
desire to do it ;)
