Here's the latest update on what features I've added to William Yu's
Shisen-So game program (a public domain program included among the
REALbasic sample programs):
(1) You can now go Back a step at a time (menu item or ctrl-B shortcut
key in Windows [command-B on the Mac?])
(2) If you've gone back, you can go Forward a step at a time (menu item
or ctrl-F shortcut key in Windows [command-F on the Mac?])
(3) You can immediately Reset a particular game to its original position
(menu item or ctrl-R shortcut key in Windows [command-R on the Mac?])
(4) You can Save a particular game position (with past history,
including back and forward moves) at any point (menu item or ctrl-S
shortcut key in Windows [command-S on the Mac?]).
(5) You can Open a saved game position (with past history, so that
earlier back and forward moves can be retraced) (menu item or ctrl-O
shortcut key in Windows [command-O on the Mac?])
(6) When playing a new game, the number of moves used thus far are
displayed.
(7) When playing a new game, the amount of time used thus far is displayed.
(8) The program keeps track of the top score (fewest number of moves and
least amount of time plus name of top scorer).
(9) The program will show Top score statistics (menu item or ctrl-T
shortcut key in Windows [command-T on the Mac?])
(10) The user can Pause the program temporarily while playing if the
user is interrupted in the middle of a game (menu item or ctrl-P
shortcut key in Windows [command-P on the Mac?], which works as a toggle).
