This is great, it took my a while to figure out how the game works. Perhaps you could have something that says you need to let the Zombies take a turn when the user runs out of moves and is pressing all the keys not understanding why his character doesn't move! I had to look at the documentation, which is not something I normally do when trying video games. If I cannot understand it I normally get rid of it and move on, I do wonder if I am the only person like this?

Zombies is really a board game than a video game and thus doesn't fit in the mold of more established genres such as FPS or RPG. With board games I feel it necessary to read the instructions before playing, which is why there's a manual included.

Including the source code is amazing too especially as I have just started to get into video games so I am sure there are tricks in here from the gurus :-)

Dig in and have at it!
