I'm trying to do a smooth cross-fade between two images, using RB3D. Using the new enhancements in RB 2005r3, is this possible? Or would I still need to use declares?

In case that wasn't clear, I'm wondering if there is now a way to set an entire object's alpha channel.

I'm also finding myself confused about the relation between an Object3D's Shapes, Trimeshes, and Materials. Does "AddShapeFromPictureWithMask" add Trimesh, and one or more Materials? Or are shapes and Trimeshes separate? I'm guessing that the "AddShape..." functions are high-level methods that do all the Trimesh and Material stuff for you? It seems like a rather odd relational design, if this is the case.
