Yes, from where I sit, if you're coming here as someone new to RB, it's
not helpful to here baseless debate. Certainly, the limits of RB3DSpace
should be addressed, but it's really kind of silly for someone to knock a
tool down that they have never used to create a game. Tests and demos
don't count. And like Joe said, he and I have used the tool (well, he
wrote the api, too) in more depth than anyone and we certainly can speak
about it's limitations with quite a bit of hard experience.
Part of what this forum is about is encouraging the use of RB for games.
Now I am glad that people like Asher and Frank have produced alternatives,
but the fact of the matter is, it will always be in our best interests to
use and critique the native 3d system, because that's what it ships with
and what will be supported over the years.
I don't mean to be so domineering on this, but I think I have earned the
right to speak strongly on the subject.
