I'm interested in it.

I may have jumped the gun a bit on the model format as I'd need to beef up the import/export tools before releasing anything. I actually released the read/write code in 2004 and got zero feedback (and it was 95% the same code I'm using today). I got the feeling back then that people just didn't want to deal with this stuff without a nice importer/exporter app to go along with it, and that may take a while. The current tools are rudimentary, and don't even support animation yet (though the format itself does).

The math library is fairly ubiquitous (vector, quaternion, angle- axis classes etc.) but the curve/waveform classes that drive the shader animations might be useful. I could get that packaged up next weekend if the "Interested" count goes up by then.

Frank.

Frank,
Where do I sign up to show my interest?

For the foreseeable future this will remain in the box, though it =20
does use a lot of the open source stuff already available on my =20
website. If there's enough interest I will make an effort to clean up =20=

and release the model format and math libraries as standalone modules =20=

but the rest of the engine is a tad more complicated. The lack of a =20 proper "friend" scope in RB means a lot of the internals are exposed =20 and I'm not comfortable releasing it as-is (even encrypted). I can =20 envision a time when it'll be ready for mass consumption, perhaps =20 driven entirely by external scripts, but that won't happen til after =20
I release one or two games of my own.

I will entertain full source code licensing deals once it's out of =20
beta, but it won't come cheap...

Sam Rowlands
