As you can see I just "announced" one of my games. One of the next steps I need to work on is the sounds for it... now I can drag out my keyboard and sound equipment and make my own, but I was wondering if there are any resources for free (as in beer) sounds and effects that I could use in my shareware games.

I've got several FX sample sites listed here: <http:// developer.chaoticbox.com/resources.php>. These all have relatively high quality and are (as far as I am aware) legal/liberally licensed samples but these sorts of things don't always last - I think the Hollywood Edge link is already dead. There are other popular sites like <http://flashkit.com/> but the quality and the licensing restrictions ranges from sample to sample.
