I have a problem with the trimesh particles demo. I put in in the game I'm working on with a non black sky and fog and it looks totally wrong. Unless viewed from very close all the sparks are white squares. A screen shot can be found at, http://www.spincraftsoftware.com/files/SparkProblem.gif

With a black sky its fine.
With the default sky fog seems to make it worse.

Why is this? And how can it be fixed?

Translucent parts and fog don't interact very well; we had a similar
problem in Renegades, though it was far less noticeable and wasn't a
serious problem.

However, another possibility is that you haven't correctly defined the
alpha channel... are you sure your texture mask is mostly black (and
entirely black where you want the particles to be fully transparent)?

Best,
