Yeah !

I still have a couple of them... Two 1.4 MB 3.5 floppy disks... one 'internal' hard disk, an external 40 MB hard disk, one CD Drive, a Video Overlay Card, tons of software... GS/OS 6, HyperCard GS...

Hey, I am far away from this year WWDC ;)

Cheers,

Emile

Remember, as the Apple vs. Microsoft case demonstrated, you can't copyright
a "look and feel". So since Apple lost that case years ago,

In "From Coca Cola To Apple" John S. wrote something like (from memory):
"Bill Gates came to me and tol me: "I can create a Macintosh Word and Excel version for you if you give me a Macintosh OS license."".

This is the base start of what is now know as Windows XP. (the original fault).

But to really understand that, you must come back to 1984/1985 context (lay off at Apple because of business down)...

Also, some of the graphical interface, mouse, and so on (what some people could call "look and feel") was already developed before 1981 and exists before Apple use them.

_BUT_ Apple improve them, add many things, make them a whole working concept and develop a hardware computer that make what is around 100% of the computer sales todays.

Also, Apple also implemented the graphical interface (pull down menus, windows, mouse, etc.) in another platform they own: Apple IIe and Apple //c and they even add a Finder to the OS used in Apple IIgs (GS/OS) way back in 1985, 1986, 1990.

Oh yes, the good old Apple IIGS :) First computer my dad bought, first computer I used all day... I remember the astonishment on PC users' faces when I showed them the color screen and the sound card (back in those days, adlib didn't exist yet and most pcs only had hercules graphics).
We were lucky to have 2 disk drives and a whopping 1 MB of RAM.
