Actually, I wasn't arguing that the initial approach was wrong, though it may have sounded that way. Rather, I was arguing that dismissing Rendezvous as a technology to find devices with little practical use was unfortunate. I understand that RS has priorities and works in a cross-platform world, and that reality may result in certain business decisions being made. I just want to make sure that any future decisions are not based on a poor understanding of a particular features usefulness. I don't even mind (terribly) is RS never implements Rendezvous. I just want it to be for the right reasons. And perhaps they are - the post by Joe was a quick message to the list and probably shouldn't be taken as canon.
