Well, there's your problem. From my experience, there are a number of
things that must be checked/changed before any complex app is ready to
run on Windows

Sure, Write Once, Debug Everywhere.

I can't even get to the "Debug Everywhere" part. :-(

Best practice is to debug your Win32 targets as often/frequent as
your Mac targets.

Some problems are quite complex to track down, if you implemented
huge amounts of code.
