Not trying to sound argumentative, but if i can't insert a new method
without resorting to the mouse (if I can't write all my code without
resorting to the mouse for that matter), then I would say that this is not
better (for me). Of course "better" and "normal" are subjective terms, so
quibble with your quibble :)

RB's editor reminds me of Macromedia's built-in Actionscript editor, which I
have used a lot. Also, there are more than a few external Actionscript
editors which to me says that more than a few people don't like this style
of coding (including me). I don't have to use it for a week to know that I
don't like it.

I see that RB can read/write an XML file format and they have a plugin
interface which would open the doors for external editors, but I haven't
found any.

Thanks.

I understand that everyone has their own working style, but I strongly
quibble with your choice of "better" in the subject line and "normal"
in the text. For me, coming from other IDE's where the method you
describe is used, RB's way is much "better" and I now find that way of
working "normal". If, as it sounds, you are fairly new to RB, why not
try it for awhile before suggesting that its not "normal".
