This document is really a Valentina database, in case that enters into it.
I compile the program.
I run it on OS X and create a document. It has the icon that I want.
That surprises me. Since you're setting the Mac Creator of the
document to Dash, which doesn't match your application (clhX), then
your app shouldn't have anything to say about the document's icon, as
far as the Finder is concerned. Whatever app 'Dash' is would
determine the icon.
Of course if the 'Dash' app isn't installed on your computer, and
nobody else is providing an icon for a 'Dash' type document, then
some versions of the Finder might fall back on yours in a pinch.
I copy the file and the Classic app to OS 9.
The icon is just a document icon.
This is what I would expect. Try giving your documents your own
creator code instead of some other app's.
